Does it require special care or cleaning?
To maintain the best quality of the pad, you can follow these care instructions:
• Remove hair, dirt, and dried sweat with a stiff brush.
• Machine wash at 30°C.
• Straighten/flatten with a cotton fabric after washing.
• Air dry near a heat source. Never tumble dry.
• Avoid using strong fabric conditioners.
• We also advise keeping it in a cool dry area and not exposing it to direct sunlight.
What's the difference between Half Pads vs Gel pads?
The difference between the Half Pad vs Gel pads is - Half pads are breathable because of the mesh fabric. It has anti-chafing and weighs less than gel pad. Gel Pads conform with the shape of the horse and it has cutting edge technology.
Can it go directly on the horse's back?
We recommend using it on top of a regular saddle pad or a thin sheet / blanket.
Would it work under a western saddle?
While our half pads are primarily designed for English saddles, several customers have reported positive experiences using them with their Western saddles.

Amazing Half Pad
Incredibly impressed with this half pad. The gel and foam combination is amazing at shock absorption. My horse feels like a much smoother ride and I sit quieter in the saddle for flat work and jumping. It took a few times saddling to get used to how this half pad sits, as you don't really pull it up into the pommel. The gel is quite sticky. I do use a thinner saddle pad. I have nice even, solid sweat lines after my rides. Easy to hose right off if needed. If you are debating, I highly recommend this pad!

Love the pad, just wish it was a little smaller
The Kavallerie pads seem to be magic; we recently got the majority of our lesson horses saddle fitted and adding these pads perfected the fit for most of the horses, my personal horse included. This particular pad seems virtually identical to the other air-mesh pads, though it may be ever so slightly thicker. The only issue I have with these pads is they are way too long for my 16.5 inch saddle. If your saddle is a 17.5+ inch, they'd probably fit great. I wish they'd make a smaller version.
