"At first I was a bit skeptical that a gel half pad would really do much for my gelding, but oh my GOSH he is moving SO NICELY now! He is now actively seeking contact with the bit, doing long and lows, and stretching out so nice at the trot when he used to just pop his head up in the air like a giraffe. He's an OTTB, so he has always been a bit quirky when tacking up. One of his nervous habits is chewing his tongue as soon as I set the saddle on his back. I've ridden with the Kavallerie gel pad probably about 6 times now, and he has STOPPED nervously chewing when I put his saddle on!!! He isn't even "girthy" anymore and no longer tries to bite at me when I do up his girth. He even stands at the mounting block when he used to try and walk off when I put a foot in the stirrup. Not to mention, my sitting trot has also improved quite a bit and I feel so much better having more "shock absorption" under the saddle to help him out if I get a bit unbalanced. I'm not normally the kind of person to say that something like a half pad dramatically changed my horse's behavior, but I have literally changed NOTHING besides switching out my old half pad for the Kavallerie pad. So in other words, I am super happy with my purchase!!!"
